Fake Jan Day 2018

Fake Jan Day 2018 is coming? What is Fake Jan Day? Fake Jan Day is only the coolest fake holiday since---well, actually I can't think of any other fake holidays.  Way back in the day, there was a TV show called "The Brady Bunch". The show was about a blended family--a mom, a dad, and six kids from previous marriages. The troubled, middle girl was Jan, played by Eve Plumb.

A few years after "The Brady Bunch" was canceled, it was revived as "THE BRADY BUNCH VARIETY HOUR". The entire cast came back, with the exception on Eve Plumb. The part of Jan was re-cast, with Geri Reischl filling the part...and the legend of Fake Jan was born.

Since 2008, Fake Jan Day has been celebrated every January the 2nd (Jan. the 2nd,,,,get it?). I have celebrated Fake Jan Day ever since, usually by making a video to mark the occasion. Here are some of the videos I've made:

2009: My first Fake Jan Day video

Here is a Fake Jan Day Eve party:

From 2016, here is a video I made at work on Fake Jan Day:

Here is last year's video:

And here is THIS year's video that introduces something new to the Fake Jan Day legend...the first ever (??) Fake Jan Day greeting card! Zowie!

Here it the video:

And here is a closer look at the card:

Only 15 cards were printed (they were expensive). I sent one to Fake Jan and one to Real Cindy (Susan Olsen). The others I sent to people who might actually celebrate Fake Jan Day.

So that's it. HAPPY FAKE JAN DAY!

Jan 2, 2018:

Here is a cheese ball update!

My annual Fake Jan Day cheeseball was purchased on Dec. 31 at a Safeway in San Leandro, California:

Here is the cheeseball today surrounded by fancy (by not great) crackers:

And here I am, partaking of the sacred cheeseball. Mmm!

Now go and get a cheeseball and spread Fake Jan Day grooviness to the world!

CHEERS!
