FLASHBACK: The Great Northwest Road Trip 2016: Part 10

The next day, July 5th, Mom, Brawn, Erich and I took the ferry (as walk on passengers) back to Port Townsend to explore the town a bit more.

Once we had arrived in Port Townsend, we walked around, explored and visited the various shops.

On the back street, this antique shop is a favorite. It's HUGE with an equally big basement below.

Across the street is this neat vintage garage. It was closed this trip....but it's filled with cool stuff, so I took pictures in the window just for you.

We poked around some more and decided to get some lunch. Erich wanted something good--and possibly exotic or seafood-y. Brawn wanted to go to Nifty Fifties, a 50s diner I had visited before. It's fun...but just hamburgers and hot dogs and such. Guess where we went...

After lunch, we took a city bus to the top of the hill and several blocks back to another section of the town. We also checked out some of the cool houses up there.

At the edge of the hill, just before it descends back to the town, there is an old bell tower that... well, you can read for yourself.

We walked right pass a deer. We didn't bother him/her, but it didn't seem overly fearful of us (but it was on alert).

We went back down into town, poked around a bit more then stopped to get some fudge.

By then, Brawny was bored and so we set sail back to Coupeville, leaving Port Townsend for the final time that trip...

And that's it for now. Next time, July 5th continues with a trip to the Blue Fox drive in. Whoo hoo.

Cheers!
